I think this is a smarter way to start a publisher because variants are killing the collector market. True collectors are completists. If you print a dozen variants, you discourage people from buying everything and reading all the comics. True growth is not going to happen by just selling more covers and draining your customer's wallets. There needs to be a deeper customer engagement with the stories.
